Waking up to a red dust storm in Sydney

For those who live in Sydney, but did not get out of the house, for those who don’t live elsewhere.. here is a shot of what all Sydney-siders (and possible those around NSW) woke up to this morning..

And no, the picture was not taken in sepia mode, or taken with any other colour option, the sky was really that colour.
The orangey-red colour of the sky was actually caused by the sun trying to break through a massive cloud of red dust! Dust was flying absolutely everywhere! Cars were covered with dirt!
It was almost impossible to breathe through the dirt!
Our whole city was blanketed by the red dust.

We all thought it was the end of the world…
really looks so scary
i woke up 6am this morning and was so surprised when i saw that.. at some point i seriously thought that today might be the doomsday LOL

Even if that seems to be scary, i think that's look amazing ^^, that's so unreal, i would like to be there at that moment.
OMG! I did see it on the news, but wow. That must be pretty cool/scary. Do you go out then? Or stay indoors for the whole time?
here it turned yellow around mid-morning … and i couldn't see a group of trees 100m away!~ i wish i could've seen red though >< it's scary but cool *u*

I kind of agree with zabou; it actually may have been soooo creepy, but it would have been sort of exciting to see at the same time. I would have been snapping pictures like crazy!
