Video: How I remove my makeup

Removing your make up after each day is the most important step of your preparation to sleep.

I wear foundation/powder/BB Cream every single day (working days and weekends) so make up removal is a critical step for me. Many girls seem to confuse “removing make up” with “cleansing face”… both steps are critical.

To end each day, I typically start off with wet wipes to remove my face makeup. I’ve tried a few different brands and you can go with each ever one you think is the most effective for you.

For eyes & lips, I’ve found that Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) has worked the best. It’s pure, natural and removes stubborn waterproof makeup without having to tug onto your skin (which causes wrinkles and aging).

With that, you have completed the steps of “makeup removal”.

Lastly, you must cleanse your face. This means.. removing any remnants of the EVOO or residue from the wet wipes.

By the time I get to this step, I tend to be quite lazy. I feel like I’ve already removed my make up and don’t want to have to double cleanse my face..

This is where.. Clearasil Perfectawash is handy!

With the ease of an on & off switch and a simple touch, Clearasil’s Perfecta Wash automatically dispenses exactly 1.5mL of product to cleanse your face. No more wastage of products when you accidently squeeze out too little or much!

Including the second cleanse in your routine can be frustrating to include but you must include it as a habit.

PSY “Gangnam Style” Hyuna Makeup

The “ulzzang” Korean make up look focuses on the clear skin complexion. To achieve this look, start by cleansing your face with the Clearasil Perfectawash (scroll down to the bottom of this post to learn how to win yourself one).

4minute’s hyunA is typically known for her beautiful skin. To replicate the look, start off a perfect base and prime prior to applying your base foundation and concealer.

By creating a smoother base, you will find your foundation will stay on for longer and look more perfect for photography.

I feel like HyunA’s eye makeup in the Gangnam style music video is very droopy so I have recreated the look by extended the eyeliner downwards to create a puppy eye feeling.

Her eyebrows are very light and bleached. I have recreated this by patting my face powder on my eyebrows and using a blonde hair colour eyebrow mascara, lighten the individual hairs on my brows. You can see that it instantly draws the attention away from my brows and brings more attention to my eyes and lips.

For the lips I have created a gradient of pink shades by using two pink lip products. I’ve created more of a pout by applying a darker/brighter pink in the inner areas of my lip.

See the whole tutorial in video here.

Clearasil is also giving my readers a chance to win their very own Clearasil PerfectaWash pack!

To win, like their facebook page, comment in this post and let me know what your biggest skincare secret is!!

Here’s mine: I dry my face with a microfiber cloth each and every night to ensure that the make up on my face is completely removed prior to sleeping!

Clubbing Smokey Eyes

I know this tutorial was uploaded last week and you may have already seen it, but for those who haven’t and missed it on my youtube updates feed, here it is!

I haven’t made a tutorial in a long long time so I was actually quite excited to upload this look. I’m still getting used to filming tutorials so if I say “like” or “um” or “now” too much, please don’t complain! #puppyeyes

I actually wear this look to most of my night outings because it is the easiest and the most neutral to go with all my outfits! Feel free to replace the shades I use with any other eyeshadows of the same tone. You can also replace the inner tear duct gold with a silver or shimmer shade of green/blue/yellow. Go play with the shades you have rather than go out and purchase :)

Battle of the eyeliners

So.. it appears I haven’t made a video in a really really long time! My last video was over a month ago when I did my best friends tag!! Time passes so quickly.. #sigh

Welll. Here is a new one!

For a long time, I’ve been testing out my favourite eyeliners. It’s always a hard one because everyone has different eyelids and for some, they like a smudgable formula, whereas for others who have oily eyelids, they prefer a waterproof liquid formula.

For me.. I prefer creamy, fast drying pencil liner.

Here is the list of eyeliners I’ve tried in the last few months..

Barry M mechanic pencil liner
BYS automatic pencil liner
Maybelline Unstoppable Eyeliner
Face of Australia mechanical eyeliner
Prestige automatic waterproof eyeliner
Prestige waterproof pencil eyeliner
Prestige Total Intensity long lasting eyeliner
L’Oreal Extra Intense pencil liquid eyeliner
SAX blackest black liquid eyeliner
Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eye Pen

Meet my best friends!

Ohai apologies that my blog was not working for the last two days.. I have no idea what was happening either but my host decided to switch itself off. :(

Last week, just before heading out to a party, my best friends decided to switch on the Macbook and film the “Best Friends Tag” with me!!!

I’ve never made a video with them so it was a really fun experience!!! So glad to have these girls in my life. <3

Meet my best friends

“Best friends are ones that stand by your side and laugh at you when you look your silliest.. but will also cry with you when you look your saddest.”

I think alot of people tend to stress over boy/girl relationships but hardly do you actually sit down to think about what we would do without our partners in crime (best friends). I’ve been through so many difficult friendships and much like finding the love of your life, I am so glad I have found these girls.. who will forever share a piece of my heart.

Boys come and go.. but these girls.. will forever remain, even if it just had to be amazing memories.
