The world with swarovski crystals

As promised, I will post pictures of my bling bling! ♥

I’m taking my god-damn time because I’m so caught up with work since the new year has started, there’s heaps to catch up on, and heaps of new dead lines to complete! holidays are soo over :(

I purchased my swarovski crystals from Artbeads. It’s soooo cheap for US residents because the shipping is free over a certain amount – but for Internationals (like me!), it cost a slightly more.

I purchased 600 pieces of swarovski crystals ranging from ss9 to ss12, a large glue, a glue tip and a pair of tweezers for about $70US including shipping, which I don’t consider bad at all! Shipping took about a week – which was definitely faster than expected!
I paid for Airmail - which is the cheaper option because it is not insured and no signature and it cost $13.99US to Australia, flat rate. EMS (which is the other option, and is alot faster) is $19.99US flat rate. I’m actually glad I only took up the Airmail option because it came within a week anyway! The estimated arrival time is 1-5 weeks I think, whereas the estimated time of arrival for EMS would be 2-5 days!

There are always codes for the online store (www.artbeads.com), it is probably one of the most “promotional codes” online stores I’ve ever seen! Retailmenot is a great site to look for promotional codes, but they always have their codes available on their homepage anyway! Usually its about 10% discount for over a certain amount of purchase. I got 10% off $50 I believe? And saved over $10! :D I used this code: SCP10P-THANKS-1209 – not sure if it still works though!

So once I received my gorgeous bling, I went crazy over it ofcourse and spent nights holding a tweezer, squeezing glue with objects that look “bling-able” infront of me!

Here are my first ones.

Simple and pleasant to look at. Can also fit into my pink ipod case (which I don’t want to take a photo of because its so dirty! haha)!!

Then my next blinging project would ofcourse be my camera. It’s the thing I carry anywhere and everywhere. How vain I can be sometimes – taking photos in the bathroom when I’m by myself or hiding in a cubical to take photos of my make up. haha! I’m about half way done only – but since so many people on twitter want to see, I will post a picture of an unfinished project up!

These last few photos were taken with my SLR. I’m freaking loving the effect of it.

If only I could learn how to use it a little more. I’m thinking of attending photography lessons!! Does anyone know of any that are good in Sydney??

Wow. *-* You must have such patience to glue all those crystals.
I can barely muster up the will to glue on nails let alone decoing any of my gadgets.
But I love the outcome though, especially on your digi cam.

    cute! love the bling :)

as for the photography lessons, i think its prolly a waste of money cos its something you can learn yourself… especially if you have photographer friends they shuold just show you the basics, which only cosists of say 2-3 things (adjusting shutter speed, apperture, iso)… how to read the meter etc… all stuff you can find out online, and you just keep practicing from there :)

i’m self taught, and find it alot more worthwhile :)
