Advertorial

The “ulzzang” Korean make up look focuses on the clear skin complexion. To achieve this look, start by cleansing your face with the Clearasil Perfectawash (scroll down to the bottom of this post to learn how to win yourself one).

4minute’s hyunA is typically known for her beautiful skin. To replicate the look, start off a perfect base and prime prior to applying your base foundation and concealer.

By creating a smoother base, you will find your foundation will stay on for longer and look more perfect for photography.

I feel like HyunA’s eye makeup in the Gangnam style music video is very droopy so I have recreated the look by extended the eyeliner downwards to create a puppy eye feeling.

Her eyebrows are very light and bleached. I have recreated this by patting my face powder on my eyebrows and using a blonde hair colour eyebrow mascara, lighten the individual hairs on my brows. You can see that it instantly draws the attention away from my brows and brings more attention to my eyes and lips.

For the lips I have created a gradient of pink shades by using two pink lip products. I’ve created more of a pout by applying a darker/brighter pink in the inner areas of my lip.

See the whole tutorial in video here.

Clearasil is also giving my readers a chance to win their very own Clearasil PerfectaWash pack!

To win, like their facebook page, comment in this post and let me know what your biggest skincare secret is!!

Here’s mine: I dry my face with a microfiber cloth each and every night to ensure that the make up on my face is completely removed prior to sleeping!

I used to have severe acne skin and it was a nightmare!! Later on I found out that it was because I used the wrong skin type foundation that caused the disaster…since then, I found out a few skincare secrets along the way as my skin is getting better. (I wouldn’t say they are secrets because they are pretty common…haha but since it says to tell the ‘biggest skincare secret’!)
I’ve used a couple of facial wash products and I realise the more gentlier the product is the better your skin will get! ‘Cetephil’ is the cleanser that I use for quite a while. Also, I won’t use cotton pad/cotton balls/makeup remover wipes regularly on my acne skin because it is a bit rough for the scars. That’s the same applying to using scrubs, only use it once a month or two. Other than that, I would also let my skin rests as much as it can by not putting too much makeup on.
So yeah, these are some of the ‘secrets’ I have for my skincare.
    Hopefully I will win!!! Thanks.

My skin care secret is to not ever have hair on my face or body whether it’s my fringe, exposed back or stray hairs framing my face. I think it keeps the oil and bacteria in my hair from getting onto my acne-prone skin thus creating a cleaner and brighter complexion :) Also I use QV (cream and 30+ SPF face moisturiser) – which is amazing! You should try it too since you live in Australia. I’ve noticed less flakiness bumps on my skin esp. around my nose.

  11. I use sunscreen everyday before leaving the house

  12. Sherry says:

i steam my face under a towel, over a bowl of hot water with lemon in it to open the pores and remove any dirty deposits in the skin :)

  13. Diana says:

my tips are massaging your face while moisturising in upward motions to defy gravity and using your ring finger to press in your eye cream rather than rubbing it in harshly.

  14. Talitha says:

Just food products from across all ranges of food, personally I like to use lemon to clean, brighten my face and even out skin tone, plus it’s refreshing and easy (:

  15. Lisbeth says:

I use a soft exfoliator everyday to keep flaky skin away!

  16. My Linh says:

Using Aloe Vera when I break out! – helps with the redness and scarring.

  17. ursula says:

I use olive oilk only with waterproof make up , every day i just use a cleansing milk and a tonic, maybe an home made tonic with lemon and camomile tea. :)

  18. Julia says:

Using olive oil as a eyemakeup remover and wearing sunscreen before applying makeup~

  19. Michelle says:

I like to always use sunscreen to prevent my skin from tanning ^^

  20. dalena says:

i use olive oil to remove my makeup and it always leaves my skin very smooth!

  21. maheen says:

i use green tea as my toner..

  22. Maizong Vang says:

I take baby wipes and pour some baby oil in it and just wipe off my makeup.
Then I use my korean soap to wash the oil off and then use my Clean n Clear face wash.

  23. i use sugar and honey to exfoliate my face once a week (:

  24. Sophie says:

Rubbing ice on my face in the mornings to make sure my pores are extra small. Also, the cold water refreshes and wakes up my skin!

  25. Allison K. says:

I use a moisturizing face wash in the morning, followed by a pore minimizing moisturizer. At night I use a light weight face crub cleanser and put on a night cream. If I don’t wash my makeup off at night i always wake up with a zit!

  26. katia paz says:

At night, I cover my face with a towel dampened with warm water for ten minutes. while I make sure my face is still moist, I put on moisturizer because skin absorbs moisturizer better when it’s not completely towel dry. It feels really nice after if you massage the moisturizer in too. :-P

  27. Rebecca H says:

I have dry skin. So twice a week I would add a few drops of jojoba oil to my moisturiser to give my skin an extra hydrating boost :)

  28. Fiona Cheang says:

After rubbing the cleansing foam in, I use a gentle exfoliator and rinse with warm water

  29. Sherry Lam says:

I wash my face with cold water.

  30. ladylike says:

Always apply toner after cleansing. The tip to avoid blackhead on the nose is to soak the cotton pad with lots of toner (a fair bit amount you have to spill on) and stick in on the nose for 1 to 2 minutes that will avoid much blackheads.

If toner is too expensive to do all the time, the next best alternative is to use ice cubes. Use it to rub on your face,u will feel super refreshing. #make sure the ice cube is clean!

  31. Saskia says:

It’s sooo pretty :) I love these makeups, but I have a problem using it, my eyes (my eyes position as European) are something falling, not noticeable to the natural, but if I use this type of makeup is highlighted and it doesn’t advantageme: (

  32. Monique Bon says:

My biggest skincare secret is for reviving dull skin is to start fresh by removing dead skin cells with an at-home peel once a week or at bedtime. Then slather on a rich moisturizer.
