ABOUT CHAIGYARU
I’m getting so tired of writing about my New Zealand trip. haha! I think I’m going to combine my last few days together. I bet you guys are wondering
“How many more days left?“
I went for about 7-8 days, so there’s a heap of stuff I had to write about, and I’m not a huge Facebook user, so I don’t just post all my photos on Facebook and then tag, tag, tag, like the rest of my friends (and I guess half the population in the world)
Anyway! So as I said, the fourth day was the last day me and Mr.CG went up the mountains, so we had to find something else to entertain ourselves while we were there. So we went Clay Bird Shooting!
Now, first of all, I am shxt-scared of birds. No joke. And for those who have been following me on my blog for a while, you’ll probably know by now that I hate birds, I’m scared of their wings.. I just think they’re dirty. My biggest fear is for them to fly in my face.
Anyway, so I was very reluctant about joining the rest of the group to participate this particular activity. I didn’t exactly want to have to shoot birds! I mean, I don’t have a hatred towards them, I’m just scared of them! LOL
Anyway, so nonetheless, we all headed over on our fifth day and we were taken by our guide to the “secret location”. He handed some guns (yes, real guns) over to the “responsible looking” ones and we walked through the woods..
Where is he taking us?
Hidden by all the trees, at the end of our forest trip, we ended up with this view. How breath-taking!
Our instructor/guide. He’s holding the shot gun *oOoo…

**WAIT! This is his dog, he showed us his dog before heading off to shoot clay birds :P And, it’s a dog!!! So ofcourse I had to take a photo and show you guys.
ANYWAY, back to the clay shooting, our instructor was demostrating how to use the guns and he showed us that the pellets were like this one! How crazy, because this little thang could actually kill somebody!

So after we were all trained up and knew what we were doing, we threw on our earmuffs,
**and the shooting began**
OH! AND I ALMOST FORGOT TO MENTION, I DID PARTICIPATE IN THE END, BECAUSE OUR INSTRUCTOR EXPLAINED TO US THAT WE WOULDN’T BE KILLING REAL BIRDS, BUT RATHER JUST CLAY DISCS THAT FLY UP IN THE SKY.. HENCE “BIRDS” :)
My turn!
BAM BAM!*
Mr.CG with Billy
Okay, there are heaps more videos and photos, but they look about the same. We had about 25 shots each, more for the ones who were better. I came third in the end!! I somehow managed to get 7 shots out of 20 of the “non-practice” shots!! *claps for myself.
After Clay Shooting, we decided to go and play golf.
“Its a cheap and fun activity”
Proof that I hate GOLF and that I suck.
Yep, that’s right. You saw that alright, I missed. I totally missed. I can never hit the ball.
Lucky for me, Therese wasn’t too keen on it either, so we ventured around the field and took photos instead.

I adore this photo that one of our friends took. It’s so artistic. Loves!
We found what Therese called a “Cheese barrel”. It took us a bit of jumping to get onto it, but we got there eventually :)
We always get caught on camera fighting.. :)
I think its kinda cute..
And in the end, we’re always in love again.
After the two activities, we were pretty much exhausted, cold and hungry. The girls were whining (okay, maybe it was mostly me), but we were freezing and it was getting dark.. so we went back to the Clubhouse for food.
#1 My favourite ever. Nachos with bacon and melted cheese, sour cream and sweet chilli sauce
