One of the main problems I had when I was in my “must have nude lips” phase, was having a “nude base”. I don’t have super pigmented lips but sometimes when I used sheer pink lipglosses, they just looked like clear gloss.. making my lips look oily and dirty.
After ignoring this problem for so long, I decided to try out a product which has been on the market for a while and it’s a nipple cream. Say what? So yes, a nipple cream for your lips will lighten your lip colour! :)
For a long time, women have been using nipple cream to lighten the colour due to aging. Like our nipples, our lips will also darken as we age and from sun damage - which is why its extremely important to use SPF on your lips, but we’ll discuss that some other time!
The product I’m talking about is the Bioglo Cherry Lips
This lip cream (okay, I’m referring to it as lip cream now because I don’t wana have to keep saying the word “nipple”) is amazing to use. The results are instant, yet opposite. You’ll see what I mean.
We start off with our natural bare lips ofcourse, here is what mine looks like…
The lip cream comes out in a white colour when you first squeeze it out. Bioglo even provides you with a lip brush to apply it!
So to apply the lip cream…… i’m going to demonstrate cause it does get pretty complicated! *sarcasm
You know what’s crazy about the result??? It’s like a lip-tint! From where I put some product on my finger before, this is what it looked like after a minute of spreading it on my finger.
The colour even stained my white piece of paper!!!
I know what you’re thinking.. if it’s a lip lightener, then why does it turn your lip darker/pinker?? How does that work?? This is what I’m looking forward to finding out! I’ve used this product in the past and after about 2 weeks, I actually noticed my lips were significantly lighter! I didn’t take any before and after shots back then, but now, I’m going to, and I want to know if this lip/nipple cream is really a lightener, or a lip-tint!
Whether this product really works on lightening lips or not, I think it’s a perfect lip tint! It has the best staying power if you wanted slightly pinky/reddy lips without using a lipstick and you can drink and eat without the colour fading! It’s awesome – too bad I’m not a big fan of dark lips, otherwise I’d be using this as my lipstick every day!!
I will be making another “results” blog post on this, so don’t forget to come back to see it!
