Gold Bling Nails with a little chanel

Heidi recently sent me a surprise package of designer nail setickers! At first I didn’t really know how to use them.. cause they were just a whole pile of symbols! I kind of didn’t want to be a walking advertisement for any of these designers! haha! So, I kept it simple, and blinged it up with some gold glitter.

And for those who are new followers to my blog, I’m using gel nails. I’m horrible at it and I’m going to admit it! LOL! It’s so freaking hard to master at! You always end up with an uneven surface!
I’ve also been sculpturing to make my nails look alot longer.. I can sculpture.. but filing the shape is difficult. Can anyone help me out there?? Any nail artists/pros reading this?

Love the stickers. I know your just beginning to start doing your own nails. And the unevenness will go away once you have more experience. If you dont already you should invest in a electric nail filer. A cheap one will work just fine to shape the nails better. Your nails look better then mine when i started doing my nails! Im sure you’ll catch on quick! Good Luck!! :smile:

i probably should invest in an electric filer. its taking me forever sitting there filing my nails :(

and sorry, i don’t use gel nails! i try to do everything on my real nail because i find that doing anything else on it tends to be very damaging for my real nails! : (
gel nails aren’t meant to be damaging for your nails. they are meant to be alot less harm than acrylic nails :)

I’m not too good with gel nails (although I love the way they look) so I don’t have any advice – I just wanted to say that those stickers are awesome :mrgreen:

i love gel nails too..i dun do it myself but i do it every month in the salon…i notice that my manicurist normally apply a few thin layers of gel instead of one thick layer…and the surface normally turns out pretty even..he will only need to file the shape a little bit in the end…maybe that’s the secret…u should try it next time! hope it helps!
Beleive me, I am a nail technician….no matter if you are a professional or not…no body is perfect! it takes a lotttt of practice! to make the surface not so bumpy you need to buy a buffer and file the surface until it is smooth and even… make sure all the particles are gone and then apply the top coat for extra-shiny!
The nail stickers where nice :) Something simple as that can surly make a big difference!
