Ok, so I just bought back from two Nuffnang meet ups and I’m totally exhausted but I wanted to make this post a while ago and since it’s really short, I think I’ll make it before I edit my photos from today.

I love geishas and I’ve fallen in love with them since the book “Memoirs of a Geisha”. I loved that book and it was probably one of the only books I took a few days to read because I never put it down. Its about the whole tradition of young girls becoming geishas and what geishas are, and do.. I found the whole concept really really interesting, but there were many very disturbing bits in the book as well.

Geisha (芸者^?), Geiko (芸子) or Geigi (芸妓) are traditional, female Japanese entertainers whose skills include performing various Japanese arts such as classical music and dance.

Some people say they are like “prostitutes” in Japan, but they really aren’t. It’s something that many people misunderstand and it seriously upsets me as well to hear that people think Geishas are prostitutes.

Anyway, so since a very long time, geishas have transformed and many people use them as an inspiration for japanese fashion and style. I love Japanese things, from the culture to the language (hmmm.. even though I’m not that great at it)…

These days, the Japanese are really just seen as “dressed in kimonos”, with awesome hair styles!

So these figures really caught my eye..

But ofcourse keeping figurines is almost a waste of space and money, because I own my own place or have the time to decorate my room.. so I recently found this!!!!!

There were several colours and designs, but I settled with this one because it reminded me the most of Japan.. somehow.

So as lot of you guys would have noticed, my blogs been down for the past few days. It’s been the most depressssing time of my life (okay, maybe not that extreme) that I’ve mostly stayed off twitter and facebook as well :(

I guess it was a good break for my red eye, because I also didn’t want to take photos since I wasn’t wearing my contacts. haha!! But I guess I can always photoshop circle lenses :P!!!!

If you already follow me on twitter then you already know.. but I forgot to pay for my domain name!! How stupid right?

Well, my domain name was expiring and I kind of ignored all the emails from my host because I changed hosts about 3 months ago and I thought all the emails frommy old host were just junk!! But it turns out that my old host still owned my domain name and my new host only owns the server (disk usage, bandwidth, etc)

So lets just say I’ve had a bad few days trying to get that fixed up, paying a massssive amount to get my domain back!!! And now, I’m back :D

Missed you all like insanely crazy and decided I cannot live without blogging.

Those of you who do not wear circle contact lenses are going to tell me that my red eye infection is because of my circle lenses, but let me tell you, it’s not. Maybe a part of it is because my eyes need some time to breathe from contact lenses, but its definitely not purely because I wear “circle lenses”.

I think alot of people have the impression that circle lenses are going to make you blind (people like my mum), and they think that whatever you put in your eye for cosmetic use is bad for you.. but I don’t think it’ll make me blind. Maybe it has made my eyesight a little worse than 4 years ago, when I never wore contact lenses, but how can you say that the only thing that has made my eyesight worse is the circle lenses?

Could just be because of time? As we get older, our eyesight gets worse. That’s natural, right?

So, I’ve been steering clear of contact lenses and putting up with blurry vision and glasses for the past few days.

Its definitely not as pretty, and my eyes definitely look 100000 times smaller, and my false eyelashes are definitely touching my lenses every 3 seconds when I blink, but I’m putting up with that.

How can some of you guys wear glasses every day? Its so inconvenient!! When I shower, I need to take it off, when I lean down, it falls off, when I eat something hot, the lenses steam up, when I do anything, I always feel them there!!!!!

But what can I do.. my eyes health is so much more important than having circle lenses at the moment. I was actually thinking of photoshopping my lenses in. hahahaha.

I’m really not sure why my eyes have been red, it’s actually just my left one, which is the right one in the photos for you guys.

It’s probably not as visibly bad by now because I put in some anti-bacterial eye drops already.

Its usually a lot worse when I wake up and alot better by the end of the day. At first I thought it was just hayfever making my eyes hurt and red. Spring is coming in Australia, which is usually the season hayfever hits everyone badly because of all the flowers!!!

Oh well, whatever it is, I hope it goes away sooon!!!

I’m just glad I can still use eye makeup to bring the attention away from my red eyes, even though alot of people notice it when I’m out!

I keep getting questions asked about my red eyes!! :(

This is the simple eye make up I like to do on Sundays!! I was going to see the doctor today but when I got to the medical centres, I realised they were all closed because its a Sunday… I had to visit my Pharmacist to get any medication at all.

Why do doctors close on Sundays??? Its so inconvenient because usually people are FREE to see a doctor on SUNDAYS!!! Anyone else agree??

They should take Mondays off or something.

Ok. End of post and I haven’t told you guys much about my red eye infection. haha! That’s because I don’t know much about it. If you guys have any idea what the cause might be, let me know! :)

It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of hair extensions. Sometimes my hair is long and sometimes its shoulder length.

Oh wow, I wear hair extensions. haha! I’ve tried on so many different ways of hair extensions before but I found that clip-on hair extensions are the ones that cause you the least amount of damage, but the greatest amuont of time and effort.

I’ve been using clip on hair extensions for the past 3-4 months now and it hasn’t caused my hair any breakages what so ever. Compared to the permanent bonded/beaded hair extensions, it really is worth the extra time in the morning, especially if you are growing your hair out.

The only downfall is that I have to take my hair extensions everywhere with me!!

E.g. When I go out for clubbing and want to have nice long hair, I wear my hair extensions and then go back to Mr.CG’s to sleep over, I need to take them off at his house after a long night, and then place them away nicely.. then have to wash them (because they are dirty from the night out) and then I need to store them somewhere to take away with me, or clip them back on (even if I just want to go home)!!!

The main problem I have with them, is storage. I can’t just shove them in my bag, I can’t just hold the hair in my hand (wtf). So… I must always wear them in my head when I’m going anywhere!!! Unless I leave it at home, and go home, etc.

So, it comes down to it being very high maintainance! :(

The bonded hair extensions didn’t take so much effort. It was usually a “I wake up and look good” hair. I never spent much time doing up my hair when I had the braids or the beads.

Anyway, so there are pros and cons to each different method of hair extension.

Due to the high request, I made a video on how I clip on my hair extensions for an everyday outing. Its very simple and I don’t use a zillllion clips, which I know alot of gurus do.. and it makes their head 5 times heavier!!!!! I don’t like my head being that heavy thank you very much!

I like having long hair because I miss the days I used to have so much hair to play around with and style!! But I’m not saying I don’t like my short hair. I still like it!! But I get bored of it for a while, and want to start rocking my long hair.. especially in the colder weather. ♥
