ABOUT CHAIGYARU
A little late, but like they all say, better late than never.
The Sydney Nuffnang xmas party was really a little different than I had imagined. Most, or if not, 90% of the bloggers who attended (possibly roughly 50 sydney-siders) were food-bloggers.
I met a few fellow Nuffnangers on the day, but I must admit, I was a little too shy to approach any more.
The theme of the party was blue – but not everyone followed the dress code. I didn’t wear completely blue because I didn’t have time to plan for much, but I wore my flowery blue dress with a satin pink bow and my chanel-inspired pink bag.
When I was walking around the bar, some girl asked one of the WTF boys – “is that hello kitty?” -__-”
With the guys from WTF (whatthefood) and Leanne (trashtastika)
Leanne (trashtastika) and I
How crazy was Leanne and her outfit? She’s an awesome, friendly young lady with a travel blog – inspired by goth beauty and fashion style. Her sense in fashion style is unique and she’s an absolute sweetheart.
Congrats to her for winning the Nuffnang Best-Dressed Awards.
I'm so glad i have a lot of you guys on TWITTER.
I'm so sorry for my blog being down for the past few days. I've been streaming Beyond the Realm of Conscience and so my internet is capped (uncaps on the 1st Jan 2010!!!) and so luckily, I've had the chance to pop over to Mr.CGs place to leach off his internet and download and manually upgrade the new wordpress 2.9 files!
Since its been such a problem to me, I'm assuming some of you guys have the same problem. I'm going to write a short tutorial to help those who have also automatically upgraded from the admin panel and had gotten the error of "Fatal Error… wp-includes/vars.php on line 16".
If you have this problem, you woud want to manually upgrade to WordPress 2.9 yourself.
1. Open up your FTP program (I use CyberDuck on Mac)
2. Download WordPress 2.9 from here
3. Assuming your files are in /wordpress, delete everything except for the wp-content folder and wp-config.php
4. Upload everything from the wordpress 2.9 folder except for the above mentioned.
5. Rename your plugins folder to _plugin. This helps to deactivate all your plugins.
6. Go to your admin panel (eg. http://www.server.com/wordpress/wp-admin)
7. This page should prompt you to update your wordpress, follow the instructions.
8. Rename your plugins folder back to the original name (ie. plugin)
9. Go to the plugins content in your admin panel and reactivate all your plugins.
This should fix your blog up. Do not email me for help as I am not a wordpress expert. I am only explaining how I had fixed up my wordpress upgrade error.
Hope it helps some of you's!
Okay I’m going to be honest and post pictures only to fill up space!!
I’m trying really hard to think of something interesting to blog about.. oh, I made a new twitter layout to match my new blog layout made by Blushberry. She’s such a lovely web designer! Knows exactly what I want without having to explain in full detail and gave me heaps and heaps of ideas as well! ♥

Sometimes I start to find it hard to find a good pair of lashes, and even when I do, they cost too much and due to my daily usage of the lashes, i just cannot afford to pay over $5 for a pair of eyelashes.
So I tend to stare over the Toyko Bar of Shumera with jealousy.

Now, let me share my little secret.
I normally opt to bulk purchase 10 pairs of lashes at a time at a bargain – such as the Model21 lashes I love, and more recently, I’ve fallen in love with the Princess 720 handmade lashes.
Try Ebay for both of these. I normally purchase most, if not all, of my false lashes from Ebay.

Model 21 Lashes are about $10US for 10 pairs and Princess Lashes are a little more expensive, but averages at about $12US for 10 pairs.
These lashes could be found with a simple Ebay search on “false eyelashes”, “handmade lashes” or “Model21″
Applying: The application of these lashes is very easy. First, you glue your princess lashes to add volume to your real lashes, and then glue your model21 lashes ontop of your princess lashes to add length. Make sure you glue the second pair of lashes ontop of your first pair of lashes to avoid any tearing of your real lashes when you take them off at the end of the day.
Cost: ($10US/10pairs) + ($12US/10pairs) = $2.20US
Removing: Slowly pull off both layers of lashes together. This should be quite easy because you’ve glued the top layer ontop of the bottom layer forming one band to remove. If you do this carefully, the false lashes should stick with each other so that the next time you use them, they are already stuck with each other and all you have to do is clean the excess glue off and glue it back on to reuse.
How long will it last: I’d say because you are leaving the glue on, bacteria is easily spread so the maximum you should keep these lashes for, are a few days. Do not use mascara ontop of this application because the voluminising and lengthing lashes are more than enough.
Results: Should look like the below photos
